Local Government Review

A unique provision in Montana’s Constitution is the Local Government Review.  This voter-initiated review of municipal and county governments is an opportunity for locally elected study commission to evaluate the existing structure of government and compare it to alternatives structures available under the state law and proposes changes, if warranted, to the local electorate for adoption.

For more information please refer to the Local Government Center https://www.montana.edu/extension/localgov/mtvoterreview/index.html

The Study Commission will meet the 4th Wednesday of every month at 4pm. This schedule begins in January 2025. Location of meeting is City Hall upstairs Conference Room, 408 E 1st Ave North.
